Our 6th grade scientists have been testing their hypotheses this week during our Stinky (ehem…) STICKY Sneaker Lab!! The students have been learning about Friction and were tasked to bring in a shoe that they believed would either have maximum or minimum friction. They tested everything from Timberland to Nike to Converse and even a pair of house slippers!
The students used new science tools such as a spring scale and gram weights. During their data analysis, some of their results surprised them at times, but for the most part, they found that their data supported their hypotheses. Please ask them about their results!
