6th and 7th grade students enjoy multiple periods a week of Drama.
Both 6th and 7th grade Drama courses begin by focusing on how we can work together to be a strong team/ensemble, emphasizing that a strong ensemble is respectful, safe, and productive. In 6th grade, students then move onto Theatre Basics, Physical and Vocal Techniques, Acting Technicals, Technical Theatre and Monologue Performance. In 7th grade, additional topics include Creating a Character, Acting Techniques, Script Analysis, Technical Theatre and Production.
Bridges/MS 915 is thrilled to have been chosen in the 2020-21 school year to be part of the Broadway Jr. Musical Theater Program. This partnership with the Shubert Foundation, Music Theatre International, and the NYC Department of Education provides several years of funding and the support of an outside arts partner to build sustainable and successful annual middle school musical programming.
