MS 8 students, families and teachers had a lovely visit to the Bronx Zoo on October 20th. This visit was part of Urban Advantage‘s (UA) Family Science Weekends. UA provided bus transportation and free admission — and will support another family trip in the spring, so look out for the details. The program also provides student vouchers that allow up to four family members to visit eight local science institutions throughout the year.
My favorite part of the zoo trip was the food court. Just relaxing and talking to friends . . . and seeing the beautiful peacocks right in front of my eyes made it feel magical. I also really liked the monkeys/primates exhibit. There were the most adorable, hyper little monkeys that were like 4 inches tall and were just the cutest things ever. Overall, I had a lot of fun on the zoo trip. — Audrey G., class 603
